Hello BFL Folks ...
It's hard to believe that August is almost here. Two thirds of the 2026 Summer Lake season is already over !!! 😳 It seems like last week I was writing a note about Memorial Day approaching and now we're looking at kids going back to school soon and Football 🏈 season starting...Well before all that we still have the 2026 Poker Run coming up soon (August 8th) and the rescheduled BFL Picnic on August 22nd. Those will be very Fun Events and I hope you and your family and friends will be participating in them both... The BFL Board puts a lot of time and effort into the planning and the running of our BFL Events with the idea in mind that our Association Members and Lake Residents will go to these have a Great Time and meet and greet your friends and neighbors
. 
Mother Nature has not been real friendly to us so far this summer as far as Lake Events are concerned. Because of rain and possible thunderstorms, we had to cancel the Annual Boat Parade on July 5th.  This was going to be a special one since we were celebrating the USA's 250th Birthday 🎉 🧨🎇 Also we had to reschedule the Picnic from July 18th to August 22nd. The Canadian Forrest Fires 🔥 made the air quality very bad and we made the decision that it wasn't good having that Event under those conditions. Again, we are hoping that Folks will come out on August 22nd and have a Fun Time at the Picnic. You can go to bigfishlake.org to see all the details of both The Poker Run and The Picnic. You will also find out other valuable information about The Lake and issues concerning us here on Big Fish Lake...
 
Our last BFL Board and General Meeting will be on September 5th at The Rock. The Board meets at 8:30am followed by the General Meeting at 10am. As always we encourage everyone to attend these meetings and find out what's going on around The Lake and add your thoughts and ideas to the conversation...
