Living on Big Fish Lake is more than just having a beautiful address — it is about being part of an incredible community. The Big Fish Lake Property Owners Association is dedicated to protecting our waters, advocating for our residents, and building lifelong friendships along the shore. When you join the Association, you aren't just paying dues; you are investing in the safety, beauty, and spirit of our lake.

​What We Do For Our Members: ​We work hard behind the scenes to ensure Big Fish Lake remains a safe, informed, and beautiful place to live.
  • ​Dedicated Advocacy: We serve as a strong, unified voice advocating for the riparian and property rights of all members who live on the lake.
  • ​Neighborhood Security: To help protect our residents, we maintain a security camera that monitors the main street.
  • ​Constant Communication: Members receive access to our informative newsletter, membership directory, facebook page and community website to stay up-to-date.

​Community, Connections, and Celebration​: Life on the lake should be fun! We host highly anticipated seasonal events designed to bring neighbors together and celebrate our beautiful surroundings.
  • ​Welcome Back to the Lake Party: Kick off the warm weather season with neighbors! All drinks are entirely covered by the Association.
  • ​Summer Family Picnic: A massive summer blowout featuring family activities, fantastic food, drinks, and a live band.
  • ​The Annual Poker Run: A thrilling lake tradition that concludes with great food and great company at The Rock Restaurant.
  • ​Fall Party: Celebrate the changing foliage and close out the primary lake season with one last neighborhood gathering.

​Giving Back to Marcellus: ​We believe that a strong lake community supports the broader town community. A portion of our Association's efforts goes directly towards local organizations and students in the Marcellus area.
  • ​Marcellus Food Pantry: We proudly make financial donations to help keep local families fed.
  • ​High School Scholarships: Each year, we award two scholarships to graduating seniors at Marcellus High School to support their continued education.
  • ​Athletic Boosters: We are active sponsors of the Marcellus High School Boosters, including sponsoring a hole at the Fairway Frolic golf outing.
  • ​Supporting Local Heroes & Resources: We provide completely free advertising space on our website and in our newsletter for the local VFW and the Marcellus Wood Memorial Library.

​Ready to Dive In? ​Whether you want to have a voice within the lake community, support local charities, or just enjoy yourself at many of our lake activities throughout the year, the Big Fish Lake Association is for you.

OUR MISSION

The Purpose of the Big Fish Lake Property Owners Association is to protect the vested interests and all riparian and property rights of the owners of  property abutting on, and with access to, Big Fish Lake and connecting waters. To Preserve the beauty of the lake, the native wildlife, and the purity of its waters. To Promote effective zoning laws, public health ordinances and regulations. To Practice consideration, communication, commitment, cooperation and camaraderie among members, our neighbors, and the surrounding community.

  • Respect Privacy: Please do not post private contact information, specific addresses, or photos of neighbors without their direct permission.
  • Keep It Family-Friendly: This board is for residents of all ages. Please avoid profanity, offensive language, or inappropriate content.
