The following are reminders regarding issues that have been observed on our lake:
Please follow Michigan law by maintaining proper distance from the shoreline (100 Feet), other vessels (100 Feet), and individuals (100 Feet) while operating a boat or PWC
Persons operating vessels shall operate in a counterclockwise fashion
A person shall not cross within 150 feet behind another vessel other than a PWC that is moving at greater than a slow - no wake speed.
Please observe all NO WAKE zones, especially when traveling through the channels between Big Fish Lake and the neighboring lakes.
If you are hosting guests at your lake home, please be sure to inform them of Michigan boating rules and regulations.
No towing between one hour after sunset and one hour prior to sunrise.
For a PWC, no towing between sunset and 8:00 a.m.
Operating a boat while under the influence of alcohol or narcotics is illegal and poses a serious danger to you and others on the lake.
